How to set up a WriteWithPaige Business team
Business is a per-seat plan for ghostwriting agencies, co-authors and studios: $150 per seat a month, with a two-seat minimum and one invoice. You set it up at /business, then invite teammates by email. Each seat is a private workspace with higher limits than any personal plan.

Step by step
Step 1: Open the Business page
Go to writewithpaige.com/business, or tap “See business pricing” under “Writing with a team?” at the bottom of the plans window.
Step 2: Name your team and choose seats
Type a “Team name”. Use the + and - buttons beside “Seats” to set how many. There is a 2 seat minimum, and you can add or remove seats anytime. The total updates as you go.
Step 3: Tap “Set up your team”
Secure checkout opens. Pay monthly or yearly. While it confirms, the page says “Setting up your team…”.
Step 4: Invite your teammates
On the setup page, type each teammate’s email (“teammate@example.com”) and send. The page shows how many seats are open. Each invite shows as “Invited”.
Step 5: Teammates accept
Each teammate opens the invite email, then logs in or creates a free account with the same email the invite went to. They see “You’re in” and “Start writing”.
Step 6: Manage the team later
Everything else is in Settings under “Team”: seats, members and invites.
What Business includes
Business costs $150 per seat a month, or $1500 per seat a year. It needs at least two seats. For a single writer, Ultra is the better fit.
- Everything in Ultra, for every seat, with the Ultra Model.
- Higher limits than any personal plan. Limits are per person, not shared, so one busy writer never uses up a teammate’s allowance.
- One invoice for the whole team.
- You invite and manage your team from one place, in Settings.
- Priority support when you need help.
Seats are private workspaces
Each teammate gets their own private workspace. Business gives your team bigger limits on one invoice. It does not share manuscripts between accounts, so teammates cannot see each other’s stories.
Co-author invites are not used inside Business workspaces. If two people need to write the same book together in a personal account, see “Write together”.
Team settings
Open Settings and scroll to “Team”. The owner sees the team’s status, “[n] of [n] seats used”, and every member marked “Owner”, “Active” or “Invited”.
- “Invite by email”
- Type an address and press Enter to send an invite to an open seat.
- Remove (next to a member)
- Asks you to confirm, then their access ends immediately.
- “Seats” with “Fewer seats” / “More seats”
- Pick a new seat count, then tap “Update to [n]”. Seat changes are prorated on your next invoice.
- “Payment issue”
- Shown as the team status if the last payment failed.
For teammates
In Settings, teammates see “Your seat is on [team]’s Business plan. Your workspace stays private to you.” There is also “Leave team”. Leaving ends your Business seat and its limits immediately, and your account goes back to whatever plan you have on your own.
Already pay for a personal plan? The invite page says “You already have a subscription”, because the seat would replace it and you shouldn’t pay twice. Tap “Manage my subscription”, cancel your personal plan, then open the invite link again.
Invite problems
- “This invite was sent to a different email address.”: log in with the address the invite went to, then open the link again.
- “This invite is invalid or has expired.”: ask your team owner to send a fresh one.
- The setup page takes a while after paying: your payment went through. Refresh in a minute, or find your team under Settings → Team.
Questions
Can teammates see each other’s work?
No. Each seat is a private workspace. Only brand workspaces that the owner chooses to share with the team are visible to everyone in it.
How does per-seat billing work?
You pay one subscription for the number of seats you choose. Add or remove seats anytime from Settings → Team, and the difference is prorated on your next invoice.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, two seats. For one writer, Ultra is the better fit.
What if a teammate already has their own subscription?
They are asked to cancel their personal plan before accepting the seat, so they are not billed twice.
Are limits shared across the team?
No. Every seat has its own full allowance, higher than any personal plan.
