For fiction ghostwriters

AI writing tool for ghostwriters, with a private workspace for every client

Give each client book its own project, with its own Story Bible, Muse and Skills. Paige drafts in that client's style, the facts she saves stay inside that book, and the manuscript exports under the client's name.

Free to try No credit card required 100% Private AI that understands story

One project per client

Each book keeps its own Story Bible, chosen Muse and Skills.

Memories stay put

Facts Paige saves in one book are never used in another.

Client byline

Export Word, EPUB or print PDF under any name, or none.

Built for fiction workflow, not generic text output

Ghostwriters told The Bookseller in October 2026 that commissions are falling as would-be authors try AI on their own, and that more jobs now start from an AI draft that needs fixing. Both kinds of work come down to drafting faster and revising carefully without losing the client's voice. WriteWithPaige keeps each client's book, facts and voice in a project of its own so you can do both.

One project per client book

Every book gets its own chapters and Story Bible, and remembers the Muse and Skills you chose for it. Open another project and Paige is working on that client's book instead.

Client details stay in their book

Facts Paige saves while you write one book are never used in your other projects. In Settings, open Memory and switch on Keep "[book name]" separate, and she also ignores memories saved under Everywhere. Account-wide settings such as Banned Words & Phrases still apply to every book.

The client's voice, written down

Make a Muse for each client: their personality and writing style, the genres they publish in, and Custom Instructions with their rules and the phrases they would never use. Add Skills for house rules such as British spelling.

Start from what the client already has

Import their outline, interview notes or half-finished draft (.docx, .pdf, .epub, .txt and more). Import as Chapters for pages, Import to Bible for notes.

An editor that reads the whole book

Edit passes with tracked changes, plus a Book Pass across every chapter and a Continuity check against the Story Bible on paid plans. Useful when a client hands you an AI draft to fix.

Deliver under the client's name

Export a Word file, EPUB, Amazon KDP e-book or print PDF (5 × 8, 5.5 × 8.5 or 6 × 9 in). Use a different name for this export puts the client's name on the title page, or no name at all.

How to use it

Start small, choose a direction, then let the workspace carry context into the draft.

1

Open a project for the client

One project per book. Import the client's outline, notes or sample chapters so Paige starts from their material.

2

Set the voice

Pick or make a Muse for the client and turn on any house-rule Skills. Lock the Story Bible entries the client has approved so Paige reads them but never edits them.

3

Draft, revise, deliver

Write chapter by chapter, run the edit passes, then export the manuscript with the client's byline.

Prompts to try

“Read the client's sample chapters and list the habits in their voice: sentence length, swearing, humor, how they open a scene.”

Paste the list into the client's Muse so every later draft starts from it.

“Draft chapter 7 from the beat sheet. Keep Mara's secret hidden until chapter 12.”

Save the beat sheet as an Outline entry in the Story Bible so it holds across sessions.

“This chapter came from the client's AI draft. Cut the repeated phrases and make the two leads sound different from each other.”

Follow it with an edit pass to see every change as a tracked suggestion.

“Check chapters 1 to 10 against the Story Bible and list anything that contradicts it.”

On paid plans, the Continuity tab in Edit Mode runs the same check one chapter at a time.

Ground rules for using AI on client books

Four rules that protect the client and your name.

Tell the client how you work

Say in the contract which parts you draft with AI. Clients should hear it from you first.

Know the disclosure rule

Amazon KDP asks authors to disclose AI-generated text, even after substantial editing. Text you wrote and only edited or brainstormed with AI counts as AI-assisted and needs no disclosure. The client publishes, so the client has to know which applies.

Copyright follows the human work

The US Copyright Office said in January 2025 that text generated wholly by AI is not protected and that prompts alone are not authorship. Your own writing, edits and choices about what stays can be. Have a lawyer check the rights clause in your contract.

Keep clients apart

Never paste one client's material into another client's project, and keep client-specific rules in that client's Muse or Skills rather than in account-wide settings. Your content is never sold or used to train AI models.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI tool for ghostwriters?+

For fiction ghostwriters, keeping each client's book separate matters more than raw drafting speed. WriteWithPaige gives every client book its own project, Story Bible, voice settings and memory, edits the whole manuscript, and exports under the client's name. It is free to start.

Can AI write in my client's voice?+

It gets close when you describe the voice well. Import the client's sample chapters, make a Muse with their writing style and a never-say list in Custom Instructions, and add house rules as Skills. Read every draft yourself: matching the voice is still your job.

Will one client's details leak into another client's book?+

Story details stay in their book. Each book has its own Story Bible, and memories saved in one project are never used in another. Switch on Keep "[book name]" separate in Memory and Paige also ignores memories saved under Everywhere. Account-wide settings, such as Banned Words & Phrases and the style Paige learns from your ratings, apply to every book, so put client-specific rules in that client's Muse or Skills.

Is client material used to train AI?+

No. Your projects are private to your account, and your content is never sold or used to train AI models.

Can I export the book under my client's name?+

Yes. In Export, pick Word file, EPUB, Amazon KDP or Print book (PDF). Under Title page, choose Use a different name for this export, type the client's name or pen name, and press Use once. Leave it empty for no name.

Does my client have to disclose AI on Amazon KDP?+

If AI wrote the text, yes. KDP's content guidelines require authors to disclose AI-generated text, images or translations, even after substantial editing. If you wrote the text and used AI only to edit, check or brainstorm, KDP calls that AI-assisted and does not require disclosure.

Can I fix a manuscript a client drafted with another AI tool?+

Yes. Import it as chapters and run edit passes for repetition and flat dialogue. On paid plans, Book Report gives whole-book notes and the Continuity check compares chapters with the Story Bible. The step-by-step guide is at writewithpaige.com/guide/revise-an-ai-written-manuscript.

How much does it cost?+

Free to start. Paid plans start at $20/month. Agencies with several writers can use the Business plan at $150 per seat a month, with a private workspace for every seat.
