Move your SillyTavern, Chub or JanitorAI characters to WriteWithPaige
Bring the character cards and lorebooks you already have. One upload starts a new story with the character in the Story Bible, their lorebook, their picture and their opening message. Nothing to install and no AI key.
Step by step

Find the card file
Use the .png or .json card you downloaded or exported. In SillyTavern, open the character and use Export. On Chub, download the card from the character page.

Open Import a character
In your projects list, choose Import a character.

Choose the card
Pick the .png or .json file. Paige reads the description, personality, scenario, opening message, example dialogue and the lorebook inside the card.

Start writing or play
Choose Start writing to open the new story, or Play it as an adventure to have Paige run it as a game master.
What comes across
The character becomes a Story Bible entry with their description, personality and scenario. The card art becomes their portrait. The opening message starts the first chat. Example dialogue, alternate openings and the card’s own instructions are kept on the entry too.
Each lorebook entry becomes its own Story Bible entry, and its keywords become aliases so Paige recognises it under any of those names. Entries switched off in the card are left out. {{char}} becomes the character’s name and {{user}} becomes “you”.
Lorebooks on their own
Have a separate SillyTavern lorebook (World Info)? Open the story it belongs to, use the import button at the top of the Story Bible, and choose the .json file. Nothing you already have is overwritten. If a name matches an existing entry, both are kept so you can compare.
What is different here
You do not set trigger keys or memory by hand. Paige keeps the Story Bible up to date as the story moves and reads it on every turn. Scenes you like can become chapters, which you can edit, hear narrated and export.
Everything you import stays private to your account.
Questions
Which card formats work?
Character cards in the community format used by SillyTavern, Chub, JanitorAI and others: V1, V2 and V3, as a .png with the card inside or as a .json file. SillyTavern lorebook .json files work too.
Can I import a JanitorAI or Character.AI character without a card?
Yes. Copy the character’s description and paste it into Import in the Story Bible. Put three dashes on their own line between entries.
Does it bring my old chat history?
No. The import brings the character, their lorebook and their opening message. Start a new story with them, or paste a past scene into a chapter to continue from it.
Do I need an AI key?
No. AI use is included in every plan. Adding your own key is optional.
