How to give WriteWithPaige as a gift
Go to writewithpaige.com/gift, choose Plus, Pro or Ultra for 1, 3 or 12 months, or a pack of writing credits, then email it or give the code yourself. You pay once and nothing renews. The gift never expires, and your friend redeems it at /gift/redeem with a free account.

Step by step
Step 1: Open the gift page
Go to writewithpaige.com/gift. In the app you can also tap “Give Paige as a gift” in Settings under “Gifts”, or “Give it as a gift” at the bottom of the plans window.
Step 2: 1. Choose the gift
Pick Plus, Pro or Ultra for 1 month, 3 months or a year, each at the normal price. Or pick a “Writing credits” pack. Credits let them try other writing models and work on any paid plan.
Step 3: 2. How it gets to them
“Email it to them”: type “Their email”, and pick a date under “Send on (leave empty to send now)”. Or “I’ll give it myself (you get a link and a code)”.
Step 4: 3. A note from you (optional)
Add “Your name, as they know you” and a short “Note”. Both are optional.
Step 5: 4. Your receipt
Type your email for the receipt and the code. Tick the box to confirm you understand the gift can’t be refunded, then tap the “Buy” button, which names the gift and price.
Step 6: Keep your gift page
After paying you see your gift page. You also get an email with the code and a link to manage the gift. Keep that page private: it shows the code until the gift is opened.
The gift terms, short version
The full terms are in the Terms, section 12A, linked from the gift page.
- You pay the normal price once. Nothing renews.
- The gift is delivered as soon as you pay, so it can’t be refunded.
- It never expires and has no cash value. Anyone with the code can redeem it, once.
- If they already pay for a plan, the gift moves their next bill later instead.
What you can gift
You can give a plan for a set number of months, or a pack of writing credits. Pick one on the gift page.
- Plus, Pro or Ultra for 1 month
- That plan for 30 days. No card needed, and nothing renews.
- Plus, Pro or Ultra for 3 months
- That plan for three 30-day months.
- Plus, Pro or Ultra for a year
- That plan for a year, at the yearly price.
- “Writing credits”
- A credit pack for other writing models. Credits never expire and work on any paid plan.
After you buy: change or resend it
Open the manage link from your receipt email. It shows the status, such as “Not opened yet. You chose to give it yourself.” or that it was emailed and not opened yet.
Under “Send it to someone, or to a new address” you can change the email and date, then tap “Save and send”. “Their link” and “Their code” are there to copy if you want to hand it over yourself.
Sometimes a payment gets a routine check first. The page then says “The gift will be ready within 24 hours.”
How your friend opens it
They open the link from the email, or go to writewithpaige.com/gift/redeem. The page says “Open your gift” (or “Someone sent you a gift” with your name).
They need to sign in, or tap “Make a free account”. No card needed. Then they type the code, tap “Check my code”, read what the gift will do, and tap “Redeem my gift”. “It’s yours” confirms it, with “Start writing”.
- Free account
- “You get Plus until [date]. No card needed, and nothing renews.”
- Already paying for a plan
- It moves their next bill later. If the gift is worth more than the time added, the rest goes on their account as credit toward later bills.
- Payment problem or paused plan
- They are asked to fix the card or resume in Settings first. The code keeps working.
- Plan from an organization or lasting access
- The gift can’t add anything. They can pass the code on. It keeps working.
Ask someone to gift you Paige
If you are on Free and reach your limit, the plans window has “Ask someone to gift you Paige”. Tap it to make your own gift link, then “Copy” it and send it to someone. They can buy you a gift without seeing your email, and it is emailed to the address on your account.
Your link then shows in Settings under “Gifts”, with “Copy link” and “Turn link off”.
While you are on a gift
Settings shows “Gift: Plus” (or Pro or Ultra) and “Until [date]. Nothing renews.” Your “Daily usage” meter is labelled with the gift too.
To carry on after the gift ends, tap “Keep it after your gift” and choose a plan. If you do nothing, your account goes back to Free when the gift ends, and every story stays saved.
