Write together

One story. Two writers. Live.

Invite a friend into your story. You both type in the same chapter at once, see each other’s cursor, and Paige helps either of you.

Two writers typing in the same chapter at once, then Paige offering to write the next scene.

The storm reached the harbour an hour early. Nell tied off the last boat and ran for the lighthouse. Inside, the lamp was already lit. Someone had climbed the stairs before her.

PPaige: Want me to write who is waiting at the top?

Inviting

One link. That’s the invite.

Open Share in your story, copy the link, and send it however you like: a text, a DM, a Discord message. Your friend makes a free account and lands right in your story.

Writing live

See every word as it lands.

Each writer has their own cursor with their name on it. Type in the same chapter at once, or split up and take different chapters. There is one copy of the story, and it is always the latest.

Paige

Paige helps both of you.

Either of you can ask Paige for the next scene, a rewrite or ideas. She works from the chapters and Story Bible you share. Each writer has their own chats with her, so you can think out loud in private.

In charge

Your story. Your rules.

Sharing a story should feel safe. The owner decides who writes in it, anyone can step away with their own copy, and the story’s history keeps every draft.

  • The owner can remove anyoneAt any time, from the Share sheet.
  • Co-authors can leaveAnd keep their own copy of the story.
  • Nothing gets lostEvery chapter keeps its history. Deleted chapters wait 30 days in Recently deleted.
  • Block and reportBlock a writer across every story, or report them.

Questions

Does my friend need to pay?

No. Your friend joins with a free account. The invite counts toward your plan, not theirs.

How many people can write in one story?

On the free plan you can invite 1 co-author. On Plus and up, you can invite up to 5 co-authors per story.

Can you really both type at the same time?

Yes. You can both type in the same chapter at once. You see each other’s cursor with a name on it, and the words appear as they are typed.

Can my co-author see my chats with Paige?

No. Each writer has their own chats with Paige. You share the story, its chapters and its Story Bible, not your conversations.

What if it doesn’t work out?

The story’s owner can remove a co-author at any time. A co-author can leave at any time and keep their own copy of the story. Either of you can block the other, and you can report a writer.
