Why teams switch

No setup, no AI keys

SillyTavern needs an install and an AI connection before the first message. WriteWithPaige works the moment you sign in, on any device.

Memory you do not have to build

In SillyTavern, long-chat memory means configuring summaries, vector storage and lorebook keys. Paige keeps the Story Bible up to date herself and reads it every turn.

Turn the story into a book

Chapters, version history, editing passes, audiobook narration and EPUB or AO3 export. A long roleplay can become something you finish.

Frequently asked questions

Is WriteWithPaige a good SillyTavern alternative?

If you want your characters and stories without the setup, yes. If you rely on SillyTavern extensions, prompt controls or a model on your own computer, SillyTavern stays the more configurable tool.

Can I bring my character cards?

Yes. Choose Import a character in your projects list and pick the .png or .json card. Paige starts a new story with that character, their lorebook and their opening message.

Can I import a SillyTavern lorebook?

Yes. Open a story, then use Import in the Story Bible and choose the lorebook .json file. Each entry becomes a Story Bible entry, and its keywords become aliases.

Can I still use my own AI key?

Yes, it is optional. Every plan already includes AI use, so most writers never add one.

Is WriteWithPaige free?

Yes. The Free plan has a daily allowance that resets every day. No credit card needed.
